CatchIQ is an intelligent fishing companion that helps recreational and competitive anglers log catches, read conditions, find their best spots, and run tournaments — all in one app. We believe every angler deserves access to the kind of data and decision support that used to require a team of guides and years of local knowledge.
Our Mission
We're building the most useful fishing app on the market — one that works as hard as you do. Not a simple logbook. Not a weather overlay. A fully integrated intelligence layer that combines your personal catch history with real-time environmental data to tell you where to fish, when to go, and how to get there.
CatchIQ captures tide phase, barometric pressure, solunar periods, moon phase, and wind automatically — at the moment of every catch. Over time, your data becomes a predictive model unique to you and your water. Pick any future date and the map shows you probability scores for every spot you've ever fished.
What We Value
Every feature earns its place. We don't add things because they sound good — we add them because anglers on the water told us they needed them.
Your spots, catches, and history are private by default. We do not sell personal data or fishing location data to any third party.
TrueCatch — our automated catch verification system — ensures tournament catches are legitimate. Seven validation layers. No manual disputes.
Nautical charts, saved spots, and your catch log are fully accessible without a cell signal. Because the best fishing spots rarely have great reception.
Tournament Platform
CatchIQ includes a full tournament management platform for clubs, guides, and competitive anglers. Organizers can create tournaments, collect entry fees securely via Stripe, and run a live scoreboard — all without leaving the app.
Anglers who have expressed interest in participating can request a registration link from the organizer. Upon request, they receive an email containing tournament details and a secure payment link. Once payment is complete, they are automatically registered and can begin submitting catches within the tournament window. All catches go through TrueCatch verification before appearing on the scoreboard.
CatchIQ sends tournament registration emails on behalf of organizers through our secure, AWS-hosted email infrastructure. Emails are only sent to anglers who have requested to participate and whose contact information has been provided to the organizer by the angler themselves.
